Boston Fishing Off to a GREAT Start
First Mate Scott and I wanted to take the boat out for a ride to make sure all systems were in good working order. It’s one thing to make sure all systems are in working order while at the dock, but you need to take the boat out and run it thru it’s paces under load and ensure that your customers have the best experience possible. So we took a trip to see what we may catch.
We left the dock under light rain and no wind out to the BG bouy in Boston Harbor. First Mate Scott went Down to the engine room and crawled around to make sure there were no leaks from the running gear and all the equipment checked out ‘A OK’. Now that we had checked that all the mechanicals on the boat were in good working order, we decided we should see how the fishing was. We were skeptical because on the way out of the harbor we didn’t see any signs of life. On the way back in, however, between Deer Island and the airport Scott noticed some birds working over what may have been a school of fish, so we decided to troll leadheads and shads. WOW – what a great idea, we caught 10 fish between 24″ to 34.5″. It looks like 2010 is off to a great start. It’s going to be a great season, you’ll probably want to book your trip soon, slots are filling up. See you on the water!
