What a great day it was this past Saturday. The Reel Pursuit had the Guy Tropeano group from Boston Trolling a deep diver at the P/R Buoy in Boston Harbor. The striper here measured 41″. The fishing in the harbor this year for stripers is fantastic. Book your trip today!
First Mate Scott and I wanted to take the boat out for a ride to make sure all systems were in good working order. It’s one thing to make sure all systems are in working order while at the dock, but you need to take the boat out and run it thru it’s paces under load and ensure that your customers have the best experience possible. So we took a trip to see what we may catch.
We left the dock under light rain and no wind out to the BG bouy in Boston Harbor. First Mate Scott went Down to the engine room and crawled around to make sure there were no leaks from the running gear and all the equipment checked out ‘A OK’. Now that we had checked that all the mechanicals on the boat were in good working order, we decided we should see how the fishing was. We were skeptical because on the way out of the harbor we didn’t see any signs of life. On the way back in, however, between Deer Island and the airport Scott noticed some birds working over what may have been a school of fish, so we decided to troll leadheads and shads. WOW – what a great idea, we caught 10 fish between 24″ to 34.5″. It looks like 2010 is off to a great start. It’s going to be a great season, you’ll probably want to book your trip soon, slots are filling up. See you on the water!
Okay, the 2010 season is just getting underway. We are hoping for a great fishing season. Last year we got off to a slow start with the weather but we are ready this season. I’d like to welcome you to the updated Boston Fishing web site. We promise to have updates of fishing trips, more Fish Fotos and all the happenings linked to our Facebook and Linked in pages.
If you need to book a trip, we have also updated the site so we can take payments via Paypal, so if you need to make that reservation for you, the family or some ‘get out of the office’ event, sign up now and lock in that trip.
The photo below was taken toward the end of the season last year so the tuna are still running (and there are more photos of this fish on the Fish Foto’s page).
Also, feel free to make some comments on the new site or if you have questions and don’t forget…
